We don't sell your data and we don't use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
If the app lets you add details about a child (such as a first name or age), that information is entered by you as the parent or guardian, is used only to personalise the app for you, and is never shared or used for advertising. The app is meant for adults, not for children to use themselves.
Our website
spoonwize.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking pixels, and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for a short time to run and protect the site.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address so we can email you when Spoonwize is available to download. We use it for nothing else and never share or sell it. We delete it within 30 days after that email, or straight away if you ask: email support@spoonwize.com from that address with the subject "Remove me from the waitlist".
To stop the form being misused, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for 24 hours. It can't be turned back into your IP address.
Services we use
We share data with these providers only so they can run parts of the app for us:
- Supabase (database and sign-in)
- Sentry (crash reporting)
- RevenueCat (subscriptions)
- Open Food Facts (product database)
- Anthropic Claude (reads label photos)
- Netlify (website hosting)
How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (for example purchase records).
Subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account in the app (Settings › Account › Delete account) or by following the steps at https://spoonwize.com/delete-account.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be corrected, by emailing support@spoonwize.com.
- Turn off analytics in Settings, where available.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted to your account.
